RYA Day Skipper Motor

Commercial Day Skipper training on our steel workboat.

Uniquely, this course takes place on MV Katie Louise, our steel workboat, allowing commercial organisations to ensure their boat operator training is being conducted on a similar and suitable vessel.

This course can be attended at one of our training centres in either Kinlochleven in the Scottish Highlands or on your own vessel. We can also run this course on commercial vessels and workboats too.

Skipper on short passages under instruction, with help and advice from your instructor. Our passages cover Loch Leven, Loch Linnhe and Firth of Lorne in the Oban and Fort William areas on the stunning west coast of Scotland.

The RYA Day Skipper Power course can also help you get the best from your modern electronic aids such as GPS and radar, which are now virtually standard equipment on modern motor cruisers.

Before attending the course you should be able to navigate and are well advised to attend the RYA Day Skipper shorebased course to brush up on your skills.
