ROV Aquaculture Pilot Course - 5 days.

The Aquaculture ROV Pilot course has been designed to enable aquaculture companies to safely operate ROV’s using industry best practice.

The course has been developed to meet a training requirement to safely operate ROV’s and enable operators to maximise their effectiveness and work to industry safe practices.

This is an intensive course with a high percentage of the course given over to practical ROV Piloting experience. The course advances day on day with ever increasing challenging dives of the Loch, giving you first-hand experience of what to expect when working as an ROV Pilot in aquaculture.​

  • Practical experience flying Observation Class ROVs

  • Wide variety of ROV dive operations including deep water and wreck/obstacle dives.​

Additionally the course comprises classroom training in:-

  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

  • ROV Safety including risk assessment, permits to work and accident reporting.

  • ROV component parts

  • ROV hydraulics

  • High voltage 

  • Communications within the ROV environment

There will be a short written assessment, along with continuous observation and assessment of practical tasks.
